The Lord has certainly blessed us here at Victory. With His divine help, the lost have found salvation; the hopeless have found refuge; the distressed have found encouragement; and the forsaken have found a warm church home. We believe that God still changes lives, and we see it happen daily as we serve Him together. Our desire is to do all within our power to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ across the street and around the world. Come join us as we strive to love God, grow together and serve others.
FROM THE PASTOR
In 2022 Victory Baptist Church is focusing on standing with the Lord Jesus Christ! As Christians, there are things that we should stand for, and things that we should stand against. I believe God also desires that we stand in a way that pleases Him.
Ephesians 6:13 – 14a
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore…
In Ephesians 6, we find that there is a Process to Stand. Verse 13 says, “…having done all, to stand.” Are you doing all you can to prepare yourself and your family to stand for Christ when it really matters?
Verses 11 and 12 reveal our Purpose for Standing. Christians are to stand for God and against the world, the flesh, and the devil. God has prepared us for such a time as this! He wants to use each one of us in this spiritual battle.
Ephesians 6:10 reveals the source of our Power to Stand. We must stand in the “power of His might”. We are not capable of standing against our spiritual enemies in our own power. Thankfully, we serve a God who is the source of all power, and He equips us with His power as we need it for the battle.
Our Protection to Stand is outlined in Ephesians 6:14-18. God has provided the armor necessary for our protection. He has included both defensive armor and offensive weapons to protect us and to help us fend off the attacks from “spiritual wickedness in high places”.
Finally, verse 18 of Ephesians 6 reminds us that God has provided People to Stand With. Sometimes during the battle, it may feel like you and your family are standing alone, but you’re not. Paul instructs us to watch with… “supplication for all saints”. Other precious saints of God are here to stand with you. If you don’t currently have a church that you are standing with, come stand with the people of Victory Baptist Church. We would love to partner with you in this battle!
“…And Having Done All to Stand, STAND THEREFORE…”
