Joey Byrd
Pastor
Pastor Joey Byrd was raised in a Christian home and trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of five. He has lived in the Elmore/Autauga area for over 40 years and has been a member of Victory Baptist Church during that time.
Pastor Byrd is a graduate of Victory Baptist School and holds a mechanical engineering degree from Auburn University, as well as a Bible degree from Open Bible College.
Pastor Byrd worked for Steris in Montgomery, AL, as a research and development manager before he became the Assistant/Youth Pastor at Victory in 2000. When Senior Pastor Steve Sanders stepped down to Pastor Emeritus status in 2015, the church called Bro. Joey as their new Senior Pastor.
Pastor Joey has been married to Julie (Coleman) Byrd for 27 years. Together they have two sons, Will and Nathan, and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Morgan.

Bonnie Yow
Church Financial/Secretary
Ms. Bonnie Yow has been employed in our ministries for over 17 years. She began part time as the Victory Baptist Missions Secretary and the School Billing Administrator. In early 2011, she took on the added responsibilities of Church/Financial Secretary after the previous secretary resigned.
Bonnie was born in Columbia, Missouri, and after high school joined the United States Air Force as a Food Service Specialist and three years later retrained into the Paralegal field. In 2000, she was medically retired from the Air Force after serving as a Paralegal Instructor at the Judge Advocate General School, Maxwell AFB, Montgomery.
Bonnie has been saved for more than 38 years and since becoming a member of Victory Baptist Church, she has served in our nursery, choir, Awana, Youth Ministry, meals for members, Jr. Church and as a Sunday School teacher. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Auburn University Montgomery and has two children (James “JC” and Briana), a wonderful daughter-in-law (Silena) and a granddaughter (Ellie).
